Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Thank you for choosing Pachhermo Peak Climbing as your next adventure destination. You will arrive on this day at Tribhuvan International Airport, in Kathmandu. A representative from Karma Eco Adventure will transfer you to your hotel. You can take your time to stroll around and see the surroundings of your accommodation.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Preparation
On this day we get busy with a couple of things; one making the last-minute paperwork for your trekking and second, sightseeing some rare UNESCO world heritage sites. Meanwhile, our backend staff will make ready all the permits to take along on the trail. Simultaneously, our guide will help you get acquainted with the country by taking you to different heritage sites. In the evening, you will be briefed about your trek either in your hotel or over dinner.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding (200m descend – 50m descend)
The day starts early to catch an early morning flight to Lukla. The flights are completely dependent on weather conditions and the earlier the flight the better it is. High chance that you will have your breakfast in Lukla and then begin your journey on the trails of Everest base camp. You will make your way through the bustling town of Lukla sharing the trails with Yaks and mules. You will only trek for 3-4 hours as a warmup trek for days to come. Overnight in Phakding. Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (1000m ascent – 100m descend)
You will embark on the same undulating trail that you had left on the previous day. Immediately outside Phakding keep your eyes open while the trail traverses through the forest of Rhododendrons, pine and fir as it is home to some wild habitats. On this day, the majority of the trail stays on the banks of the raging Dudh Koshi River. On several occasions, you will cross a rustic suspension bridge that leads in and out of beautiful Sherpa village and hamlets. From Monjo, you will make an entry in the Sagarmatha National Park and soon you will be greeted by snow-clad Thamserku 6608m. The final ascent to Namche Bazaar through sheer, crisscrossing and traverses scented trail. This section of the trek is the most difficult section of the day. Overnight in Namche. Meal plan B, L, D.
Day 05: Rest Day
This day is set aside for acclimatization. Although it is mentioned as a rest day it is recommended to remain active and ascend to higher ground and fall back in Namche. It is a very good day as well to explore the town its rich Sherpa culture and impeccable short hikes in the periphery. Namche is an interesting village or town which has houses built on cascading hills and looks like an amphitheater from a distance. This is the most happening village throughout the Everest base camp trek or even in the region of Everest. On this day we hike to Syangboche airport; one of the high-altitude, noncommercial airstrips. Depending on the weather conditions a short hike to higher ground and back will be done. Day 06: Namche -Thame
From Namche, you are westbound and start climbing towards Namche monastery and its beautiful mani stones. The trail is broad and horizontal and big enough for yak trails to make their way easily. Immediately after you leave the valley of Namche you will enter a dense forest of old Rhododendron and tall pine trees. This forest is a natural grazing ground for Yak and a community forest for the locals for firewood. Keep your eyes open for musk deer and Himalayan thar in the forest. However, the trek is mostly upward bound on this day. Overnight in Thame
Day 07: Camp nearby Moraine and Lake
We will take a stroll through Moraine and our camping site will be on the shore of the lake. All the climbing gears and instruments will be double-checked. We get ready mentally and physically for the ascent of Pachhermo Peak.
Day 08: Trek to Base Camp
Follow the instructions of the climbing leader and proceed meticulously. This is the time to learn and get used to with the climbing crew members. Team coordination and careful planning are key to any ascent of the Snow Peak Mountains. The trail ahead will be more treacherous.
Day 09: Trek to High Camp
Climbers will now take the ridge walking towards High Camp. Proceed slowly and gradually for the amazing climbing experience. The trail requires the utmost tenacity, perseverance and physical endurance. Get the amazing scenery once you are on high camp. Look out for the chance to acclimatize fully to the conditions as it will help you ascent easily the following day.
Day 10: Acclimatization Day
We will take small side climbing and descending as part of acclimatization. Drink lots of warm water and form a formidable team with climbing crew members about the plans to ascend the summit. Take good rest because the climbers need to take huge hours of walking on top and back to base camp.
Day 11: Trek to the Top of the Pachermo Peak (6187m)
With the help of rope and an able climbing leader, you will reach the top of the peak. The mountains seen from the top are blissful scenery to capture in your memory. Take as many pictures as possible and descend back to base camp.
Day 12: Back to Thame
We will take the same trail of moraines towards Thame. Explore Thame village in the evening as this village has many people who have ascended Mt. Everest successfully.
Day 13: Thame to Namche Bazaar
We will have the best hours of walking from Thame to Namche Bazaar. Take an uphill walk for half of the trek and then walk downhill with a picturesque view of Namche, Kwangde, Thamserku and Amadablam.
Day 14: Namche Bazaar Trekking Back to Lukla (2850m)
Although we start early and it is all descend from Namche to Lukla, it is claimed to be the hardest downhill in the entire Everest base camp route. The remorseless incline makes it difficult on the knees but there is always an option to slow down the pace and stroll easily. Once you reach Benkar the trail is almost horizontal to Pakhding and further down, Lukla and very easy for the knees. Overnight in Lukla. Meal plan B, L, D.
Day 15: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
We board an early morning flight on the world’s most adventurous before the weather is wrecked. With the views of the beautiful peaks on our right, we head towards Kathmandu.
Day 16: Farewell Day/Departure
We will drop you by private vehicle from your hotel to Tribhuwan International Airport
