Manaslu Circuit Trek
Manaslu circuit trek is about going around the world’s 8th tallest mountain namely Manaslu (8,156 m). This trekking destination is very new in comparison to the other trekking destinations in Nepal. The gates of Manaslu circuit trek was open only after 1991 and yet it remains a restricted area and requires a special permit. This trek is often compared with the Annapurna circuit trek of 1980’s and is an off the beaten trek within the reach of trekking enthusiasts.
As the Annapurna circuit and the region gets a huge influx of trekkers year around, people who are looking to beat the heat often take the trails of Manaslu circuit trek which is less traveled. By no means you will come across many trekkers because of the additional permits and the high cost as a result of few tea houses. Nevertheless, the beautiful topography, unseen culture, rare wildlife and fragile ecosystem is able to attract true nature enthusiasts.
Manaslu circuit trek is often regarded a the most incredible trek in Nepal in the current day. This trek alike Annapurna round offers amazing mountain view, untamed rugged terrain and a high pass of Larkya La (5,100 m) but without the crowd and the cuisine from around the world. This trek offers spectacular terrain and showcases fascinating culture and people. This is the home of not only one of the highest mountains in the world but also the rarest Nupri people; the descendant of 16th century Tibetans.
