The first day of the trek shouldn’t be very tough on your legs and hence we would walk only for around 4-5 hours. The trail is gradual in the beginning but beyond Arkhet it gets a little steep. You would make your way through beautiful hamlets, villages and rice terrains of indigenous Gurung communities. Keep your eyes open for plenty of monkeys in the forest between Arkhet and Soti Khola. Overnight in Soti Khola.

This is the very section of the trail from where the trail for Tsum Valley gets separated. After several ups and downs and crossing of Budhi Gandaki River, we reach our final destination of the day. Overnight in Deng.
