Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport
Airport Representatives of Karma Eco Adventure Nepal will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu. All the trip details will be discussed. The welcome dinner will be served and final preparation is done.
Day 02: Morning Flight to Phaplu; Trek to Chayalsa
We will take the early morning flight to Phaplu airport and start our walking trip. We will be walking through the Sherpa villages and cascading hilly scenery. We will visit the Chilsa monastery as well on this day.
Day 03: Trek to Kerung
We will start to see the high-altitude peaks as well as differing landscapes on this day. We will traverse through various communities’ villages of Tamang, Sherpa and Magar people. The day ends with a visit to the Buddhist Stupa in Kerung.
Day 04: Trek to Jhapre
We will walk for about 6 hours on this day to reach Jhapre from Kerung. We will experience the forests of wild orchids as well as the marvelous landscapes. The trail is within the Solukhumbu – Okhaldhunga districts of Nepal. We will again visit monasteries and Stupas on this day and attend the cultural program in the evening.
Day 05: Trek to Pikey base camp
This is the most awaited day of our trip. We will witness the centuries-old monasteries, manes, Stupas, etc. Recently the local authorities of the area have promoted the marathon and mountain biking races in the area as well.
Day 06: Climb Pikey Peak; Trek to Junbesi via Jase Bhanjyang
Relish the amazing scenery of the surrounding including Mt. Everest from the top of Pikey Peak. Capture as much scenery as possible as it is a lifetime opportunity to seize the natural wonders of the lower Everest region. We will then continue our walking towards Jase Bhanjyang. Along the way, we can encounter the Yak herders where you get a chance to drink the fresh Yak milk or taste the yak cheese. On the way, we can see glimpses of Dhaulagiri, Kanchenjunga and Everest too.
Day 07: Trek to Phaplu
Early in the morning, we will visit the Thuptenchholing Monastery where we will observe the medicinal therapy of ancient Tibetan people. After breakfast, we will then trek towards Phaplu which is about six hours of walking. In Phaplu we will enjoy with the crew members and locals in the Sherpa cultural program.
